Today is our annual ‘AKHIA hearts you’ Valentine celebration. It’s just a simple opportunity for us to let everyone in the office know how much we appreciate everything they do for our clients and each other. The proof is in the picture below – we needed some last minute help with a mailer and we instantly had all hands on deck – or as many that would fit in my office. Happy Valentine’s Day AKHIA.
On to the rest of the five:
2. Speaking of Valentine’s Day…propose at Fazoli’s and get free spaghetti for a year. I’m still not sure that’s enough to get me to go to Fazoli’s but hey, what a concept. Drag your unsuspecting fiance-to-be to the local Italian fast food joint and you could be treating her like a queen the rest of the year, complete with free spaghetti. What about a soon-to-be-bride who wants to stay in shape as the dress fitting looms? Fazoli’s is using this promo to feature their 12 entrees under 540 calories menu. Seriously, how can this go wrong?
3. The case of the 13-year-old newborn. What do you think of these pictures of a newly adopted 13-year-old in ‘newborn’ poses? The ‘new’ mom posted them to facebook and the montage immediately went viral. I guess it just goes to show you that you should never be surprised by what people think is a good idea to post on facebook. Moving on.
4. Happy Valentine’s Day, from the NBA: Heat v. Thunder. Yea, I know we’re supposed to be hating LeBron and are all still stinging from how he treated us on national TV. But damn…LeBron. Ball so hard….six straight games of 30+ and shooting over 60%. The first player ever. And a bunch of other stats that basically just point to the fact that he’s freaking good. So what’s better than rooting against him tonight? Go Thunder!
5. If you’re looking for a last minute Valentine’s Day gift for me….buy me Skyfall. It’s out on BluRay this week – maybe the coolest 007 movie yet. Skyfall was awesome – and I can’t wait to see it again. It followed the formula for Bond success – great opening sequence; great villain; epic climax and of course, a killer song courtesy of Adele. The cast was awesome and Craig continues to give Connery a run for his money. Make sure you check it out this weekend.
